12th SUNDAY IN
ORDINARY TIME
In
today’s Gospel, Jesus calls us to integrity of faith.
But being open and evident about our Christian way of life can be
difficult for us. In fact, it
isn’t uncommon to hear serious criticism expressed toward our Catholic
beliefs. There are times when we know we should articulate our beliefs
but we’re timid. Yet, we feel a
great unrest about ourselves when we do not speak what we believe.
Jesus tells us “Do not be afraid.”
Prayer
Moment: May I profess you in word and deed,
Lord Jesus.

JUBILEE
YEAR OF SAINT PAUL BEGINS JUNE 29TH
On June 29 we celebrate
the Solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul. Despite
the trials and tribulations that came their way, Sts Peter and Paul remained
faithful to God, who, in turn, was always faithful to them.
As we begin this year of jubilee honoring St. Paul, let us look to him as
a model for our lives, finding courage to remain faithful and to speak the
Gospel with our lives.
THANK
YOU…

LOOKING
AHEAD
Our country celebrates its
232nd Independence Day Friday, July 4. It
seems most appropriate to celebrate Independence Day by thanking God for all the
blessings that have been bestowed on our country.
Mass
will be celebrated on Friday, July 4th at 9:00 a.m. in the Church.
All Parish Offices will be closed in observance of the holiday
CATHOLIC
MINISTRIES APPEAL
The Catholic Ministries Appeal continues this week in our parish. Our parish response to the Catholic Ministries Appeal to date is $17,389. We have reached 56% of our parish goal. We are most grateful to those who have been so generous. We ask that everyone in our parish participate with a gift of any amount. Every gift helps.
-Fr. George Kunkel
