MINISTRIES APPEAL

EASTER
SUNDAY
The
Resurrection of the Lord
We
celebrate today the foundation of our lives as baptized Catholic Christians.
In the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, God’s plan for salvation is
realized. Christ is raised to
glorious new life – new life that we inherit.
All the powers of evil that can bind the soul forever lifeless are
rendered powerless in the quiet of dawn on that first Easter.
Prayer
Moment: May
the Alleluia in my soul resound in my whole life, Lord.
VOCATION
VIEW
The
angel said, “Do not be afraid.” Trust
that the risen Christ empowers you to go and spread the good news.
(Matthew 28:1-10)

Please
keep in your prayers all the men and women who are currently in the military
serving our country.
In
The Hospital or Recovering at Home:
So
that as a parish we can keep in our prayers those in our community who are ill,
St. Vincent Ferrer Parish would like to publish the names of those parishioners
and their families who are in the hospital, recovering from an illness or going
through treatments. We ask that you
contact the Parish Office at 791-9030.

Thank you.
EUCHARISTIC SUNDAY V will be held April 6th, during the 10:30 AM Mass. Children preparing for First Eucharist and their families will gather to celebrate the theme “We Remember. ” reflecting on what Jesus celebrated at the Last Supper. The Eucharistic prayer is the Church’s great prayer of thanksgiving. At the Eucharist through the power of the Holy Spirit we join with the living Christ to give praise and glory to the Father.
Each Sunday as we gather,
we acknowledge the importance of remembering and celebrating Jesus within our
community. Let us be grateful for
Jesus’ presence.
Consider
taking one of our spiritually renewing companions for a leisurely break on a
quiet evening or afternoon. Stop
by the ushers’ room
located near the main entrance of the church to
browse the wide selection of reading material
in the bookcase.
SOCIAL
JUSTICE
PAPER
BAGS
Thanks
to all who have contributed paper bags for Over The Rhine Ministries. The
response was overwhelming! No more needed for the near future.
Hopefully, we have also saved a few trees. Thank you
Barbara Pflum.
FOOD
FOR THE POOR BARRELS
Thank
you, thank you generous food donors for your donations of food for the poor
these many years. This food helps
to reduce the suffering of families, many with hungry children. Much of the food donated by St. Vincent Ferrer parish
continues to be received by the West End Emergency Center, led by Sr. Judy, SND
for many years. It is distributed
by the Center to needy families located in the Over the Rhine area. Additionally, a Food Pantry has been maintained at SVF for
years, which is also supplied by your donations.
It may surprise you, but people in our own area may also have needs.
Our Parish staff occasionally receives requests for food needed by both
parishioners and non-parishioners. The
staff, with knowledge of the Pantry inventory, can provide some necessary food
to these individuals and families.
GOD
BLESS YOU, each and every one of you donors for your faithful contribution to
the food barrels at Church. Please
make sure your donations have a current expiration date.
