ability to experience them at St. Vincent Ferrer.The following is a review of the tuition at St. Vincent
Ferrer as well as the financial options available to you.
Active
parishioner rates (K-8) for
the 2008-09 academic yearare:
One
student = $3,100 + $125
non-refundable technology fee due at registration.
Two
students =$6,200 + $250 non-refundable technology fee due at registration
Three
students =$7,700 + $375 non-refundable technology fee due at registration
Four
students =$8,500 + $500 non-refundable technology fee due at registration
The
inactive/non-parishioner rate (K-8) is $4,750 per student + $125
non-refundable technology fee due at registration.Active parishioner tuition rates are offered to families who worship
at, volunteer at, and contribute financially to St. Vincent Ferrer Parish.Tuition only covers about 50% of the cost to educate your child at our
school. The parish subsidizes about 40% of this cost, while the remaining 10%
comes from state reimbursements and other donations to the school
.
Here
are some options available to pay your tuition.
Option
# 1:You
can pay in full by the first day of school.About
5 % of our current school families are able to utilize
this option.
Option
# 2:Unless
you clearly feel that you will not be eligible, you should apply for
institutional financial assistance at St. Vincent Ferrer. Nearly 20% of school
families have applied in the past, with many receiving some level of
assistance. In order to apply, please contact the school office to obtain a
Private School Aid Service (PSAS) application, which requires 2007 tax return
information. All information is kept strictly confidential.Forms
are mailed to PSAS, which sends a report to St. Vincent FerrerSchool
with suggested financial assistance amounts. St. Vincent Ferrer School
determines the individual awards based on this report. If
you decide to apply and need help completing the application, please contact
the school.
Option
# 3:You
can also choose to arrange a payment plan that begins July (adjusted if you
are enrolling after July) and ends in April.This is the most popular option at our school.

Who
qualifies for financial assistance & how much assistance can I expect?
Financial
assistance is based upon your family’s income, number of dependents and any
extenuating circumstances; therefore, no
family automatically qualifies for assistance. Financial assistance awards
vary depending on your family’s financial situation and the availability of
funds at the parish.
When will I be notified of how much assistance I have been granted?
The
parish notifies families that qualify for tuition assistance over the summer,
usually by July 15.
What if I decide not to accept the financial assistance award — do I receive
the registration fee back?
The
registration/technology fee at St. Vincent Ferrer Parish School is not
refundable.
Is
there a discount for paying in full?
The
school does not provide any discount for payment in full.
Is
there a Finder Fee for helping recruit students?
The
school does not offer a finder fee or discount for helping to recruit other
students.
What
if my financial situation changes during the school year?
In
a few cases, a family’s financial situation changes substantially during the
school year. In these cases, the family is encouraged to speak with the
principal.
